Privacy Center Concepts
The Privacy Center serves as the user-facing portal for your data privacy program. It provides a centralized location where users can learn about your data practices, submit requests related to their personal data, and manage their privacy preferences—all in a branded, customizable interface typically hosted at privacy.yourcompany.com.
The Privacy Center enables users to:
- Submit data subject requests (DSRs) for accessing, deleting, correcting, or exporting their data
- Manage privacy and marketing preferences in one location
- View and adjust consent settings for different data processing purposes
- Access your privacy policies and other related documentation
While many Transcend products focus on the backend infrastructure of privacy operations (how data is physically stored and processed), Privacy Center focuses on presenting this information to users in a clear, accessible way. It serves as the front-end interface that connects to:
- DSR Automation - to process data subject requests
- Preference Management - to store and enforce user choices
- Consent Management - to manage user consent across your digital properties
Data subjects can manage all their privacy choices through the Privacy Center: they can submit DSRs, set communication preferences, and manage their consent, all in one place.
The Privacy Center can also host one or more policies, such as your Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. This keeps everything in one place, and gives Legal teams the ability to manage policies without Engineering support.
