
The timer in the “Time Elapsed” area is a depiction of the total time elapsed since the requestor initially submitted their request. Because restarting the request does not restart the timeline, this countdown will continue to keep the same time.

If you require additional time because of the process restart, you may opt to select the “Need More Time” button from the request’s Status page to notify the user of the extended timeframe.


I restarted a request but the “Time Elapsed” is still the same. Why?


Yes, all the email templates created will appear in the `Privacy Center - Messages & Internationalization` page. This is also true of any text that is modified in these templates. Any text that would be exposed to the data subject throughout the Privacy Center or email templates will also show up in the aforementioned section.


If contents or templates are added / modified in the Email Templates section, does this automatically flow to the Privacy Center > Messages & Internationalization space?


In an access request, a request can be cancelled any time before the "Report Sent" stage, when the data subject receives their download report.

In an erasure request, a request can be cancelled any time before erasure begins in the "Removing data" stage. If you have configured a wait time before processing an erasure request, you will have more time to cancel requests. Manual approvals always happen before the actual processing, meaning you always have the opportunity to cancel a request during, or before, a manual approval.

When can I cancel a Data Subject Request?


Yes, to notify an individual about integration errors you will need to set them as the owner of the integration. They will then be assigned to Action Items within the platform whenever there are errors specific to that integration.


Can we set up someone to be alerted if there are errors with an integration?


The recommended methodology for setting up API keys for Service Accounts will vary based on the type of integration. We will categorize the integrations as:

1. Custom Integrations Setup Within a Transcend Instance
2. SaaS Integrations
3. External Integrations

For integrations of the first type (such as custom Server Webhooks, Cron Jobs, etc.), it is recommended to create the API Key from within the integration’s Connection page in the Transcend Instance.

This provides certainty that your API Key will be associated with your integration.

For the second type of integration, we recommend reviewing the [Integrations Docs](/_docs/integrations/index.mdx). Some of the service accounts developed with these SaaS providers require specific considerations, which have been outlined in the Transcend docs pages.

For the final type of integration or for any integrations that don’t align with the prior methods, the guidance is to [create and maintain the API Keys](/_docs/dsr-automation/api-integration/authentication.mdx#creating-api-keys) as you would for any other account type. Simply ensure the appropriate scopes are employed to allow your integration to perform the necessary actions and generate the key.

How can I set up API keys for a service account integration?


Action Item digests are sent via email or Slack notification every day, Monday-Friday, at 9:00 am Central time.


How often will I receive digests of pending action items?


Yes, if you update the default value in Messages view, it updates the same contents shown in the [Email Templates](https://app.transcend.io/privacy-requests/email-settings/templates) view.


If the content for an email template is updated from the Messages and Internationalization tab, will the change be reflected in the Email Template section?
