Runtime Architecture

Sombra is built to be run on x86-64 compute runtimes. There are ARM64 builds available for experimentation.

ARM64-compatible Sombra builds are considered experimental, and not meant for Production usage. If you plan on using them in production deployments, please be aware of the limitations listed below.

ARM64 builds for Sombra have limitations around ODBC driver support for the following data systems:

  1. IBM Db2
  2. SAP Concur

If you require database connectivity to those database solutions, please use the production-ready x86-64 version of Sombra instead.

The experimental nature of ARM64 support also means that these builds are not tested as thoroughly as their x86-64 counterparts. As such, bugs are expected, and we might not always be able to address them, depending on the nature.

Simply add the -arm64 suffix to the container image tag to pull the ARM64 image version.

Please be aware that Sombra container images older than October 2, 2026 (versions prior to v7.617.4) do not have ARM64 builds.
